The BEST PART?! 15% of the sales will go to Amy’s Art Cart. What?! That’s amazing! I know!!

Amy's Art Cart is a mobile art cart to serve pediatric patients at Children's Hospital in New Orleans. Since 2014, Amy's Art Cart has collected over $40,000 to benefit the art cart program at Children's Hospital. These funds have been used to purchase a specially designed, hospital safe cart as well as stock the cart with art supplies, coloring books, craft sets, board games and even a mini library to bring joy and a creative outlet to hundreds of kids. It is our hope that each child can access the cart in order to escape some of the agony and monotony of being in the hospital and undergoing treatments.

Let’s make some art and share some art!!!

Along with twelve other stellar WOMEN artists, I was asked last fall to create thirty original paintings for a newly opened wing of Children’s Hospital New Orleans.

Originally stumped by what to create, I turned to art history. The patterns, shapes and absurd playfulness of the Memphis Design Movement, during my childhood, felt like the perfect source. It incorporates childlike & cheerful elements while bringing in a bit of nostalgia for the adults who find themselves caring for dear little loved ones in the hospital.

Here is the entire collection of thirty 18x24in works on paper. I’m calling it The Memphis Series. Thank you to PLAID Design for the opportunity!
