It's easy to become sluggish in the dead of summer in NOLA. Add a little vibrant pep to your step with the work of Mary Singleton. The New Orleans based artist is beloved for her bright figurative floral paintings. From botanical fronds to beautiful blooms, her pieces use every color on her palette to depict the tropical flora found in the far corners of our city. She also celebrates the feminine spirit with contemporary femme-inspired oil work. Her current exhibit, Flourish, is prettying up the walls at the Claire Elizabeth Gallery, where they'll remain through the end of August.
